HOMORISK:
Vstaja lezbosov (or The REBELLATION of Lesbos') is an activistic group, who is asking questions of the point and the meaning of a public space and moreover searching for answers on where on where do lesbians find a place in it. Stressing an ortodox heteronormativity of the society in which they are invisible and inhearable. Critizising Fake?? Tolerance which is tolerating the phrases?? And not human beings who live and work within the community. It is a fact that the social norms put labels on lesbians who are out of the closet and suffer from violence and homophobical attacks. Some of them are expelled from bars or other public spaces. Since intolerance is hightening because of bigger visibility of lesbians in general.
Our group decided to end the silence with a slogan. A public space is open to everybody, it is for and from everybody. There is no way that heterosexual matric is in a superior position. Personal security and freedom of movement and expression is everybody's right. Exclusion of lesbians from the public space has a wider context, it is about a leadership of so-called "normal" majority, who is excluding all kinds of human trash such as roma people, gays, lesbians, immigrants, handicapped...

The Background:
The rebellation of the lesbos was formed after a lesbophobical treatment in a bar called "orto bar" on the 11th of october 2007 in ljubljana, slovenia, where two girls were expelled from that bar. From then on a group of lesbians went in action and meanwhile documenting each step they made. The aim of these gverila actions is to show to a wider society that we are also a part of a public space, furthermore the aim is to get the public space back.

Die Freien Radikale bestehen normalerweise aus Helga (Gitarre, Visuals), Lisa (Bass) sowie Josh (Drums). Seit Jahren entwickeln sie ihre originäre Mischung aus punkiger bis pop-inspirierter Rockmusik und Visuals. Diesmal spielen sie in reduzierter Besetzung (Josh und Lisa) und werden die Wahrheit des Mottos der "reduced"-Gigs: "klasse Musik geht auch zu zweit! freut euch auf anlassgemäß umarrangierte Hits..." beweisen.
"Jungsrock ohne Jungs": "distanzlos und pathetisch" wird proklamiert "Dying is like an Art", krachig und in den Kategorien "Screamo / Thrash / Psychedelic" im Myspace verortet, kommt das Trio aus Berlin nach Wien zu den Queer-Feministischen Tagen und fetzt, dass es eine Freude ist.

Philipp Peer aus Innsbruck wird einen etwas längeren, als inneres
Streitgespräch konzipierten, Poetry-Slam-Beitrag vortragen.
Die persönliche Sexualität des von mir dargestellten Charakters (Ich bin
zwar mit einer Behinderung ausgestattet, aber zu behaupten, dass ich
deswegen, unter dem Themen-Deckmantel 'Sexualität und Behinderung', über
das wie auch immer geartete Sexleben anderer behinderter Leute sprechen
könnte, wäre vermessen.) und die von mir gemutmaßte generelle Tragik der
menschlichen Existenz sind die Thematiken meines neuesten,
schwarzseherischen und zutiefst dilettantischen Werks. - el/la cachete

Noch einmal in diesem Sommer kommt die New Yorker Singer-/Songwriterin A.J.Shanti nach Wien und hat ihre neue CD "Baby Beau Blue" im Gepäck. Ihre bisherigen Auftritte in dieser Stadt brachten ihr eine jedesmal anwachsende Fangemeinde ein.
Der Falter über A.J.Shanti: "Von großer Emotionalität geprägter Akustikgitarren-Folk einer 'self-identified genderfucking dyke' aus den USA: Tolle Stimme, schöne Melodien und mehr als nur ein Gänsehautmoment ('don't take out that knife to take my life, please')".

pop:sch machen seit dem Ladyfest 2007, wo sie auf der Open Stage ihr Debüt feierten, gemeinsam Musik. Heuer waren sie in der Endrunde des Protestsongcontests 2008, wo sie mit "Body Workout" den einzigen queeren Song dort präsentierten. Diesmal untersuchen Alex und Flo gemeinsam mit Martina, aber ohne Andrea, die im Ausland weilt, die Frage: "Wer ist die beste Andrea des Abends?" und spielen Songs von pop:sch mit GastinterpretInnen.
